Parents

Curriculum For Excellence stresses the importance of the vital role parents play in supporting their child's learning.  In St Machan's we value the support of parents and welcome their participation in our school life.  We have very strong home / school links at present and are always keen to look for ways of improving them. Our Parent Council and Parent Teacher Association are both very active and support the school  in a variety of ways.

The Parental Involvement Act (2006) sets out the role of parents and identifies three areas of particular importance:

  • Learning at Home
  • Home / School Partnership
  • Parental Representation
